Not sure what the problem was….I would log on and it would not recognized my password. When I would ask for a new password it would not send me another. When I tried to contact the “website admin” (or whatever terminology they used) I heard from no one. I tried to contact them 3 times. I finally got a notice of a personal message from someone. In that e-mail was a link to get to the message. At that point when it asked me to sign in and would not recognize my info it had an option to “reset my account” and that did the trick.

Are we logged out automatically?

Should I log out?If you logout, then the system WILL ask you for your password when you revisit. If you check the box to be remembered each time you visit and just exit, then you will remain logged in next time you visit. BTW, this is if you are on the same computer – if ever you access the Forum from a diferent computer, you will need to logon afresh. Lynnie

In the beginning I thought it was just me then wondered if we are supposed to do it each time. For a while got straight in.
Thanks for your dedication to all this.
My PM is full also will do what you said. Only just found out where it is, no wonder.May 25, 2011 at 9:23 am #352290lynnie_sydneyParticipantI have just tested Firefox and the cursor doesnt jump up to the top with long posts. So would advise anyone who is having trouble with long posts in Internet Explorer to use Mozilla Firefox instead – may save some sanity! 😉 Lynnie

Hi Jltntl,
If this helps, here is a past discussion thread on this topic:
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2791&hilit=tom+photos
I have used the site mentioned in the above discussion thread – Image Shack – to re-size my photos on that site prior to posting and it works well. The instructions given by Tom Scott on that thread, however, were for the old forum software. On this newer forum software, you just copy the link that Image Shack provides after you’ve re-sized your photo and paste it into your forum post. Then highlight the link with your cursor and click the IMG button above your post. When done, click the submit button.
I’m afraid I’m not as technically-minded about all this stuff as most people, but this worked for me after a bit of fiddling around and figuring things out. 🙂

I still have to log in every time will try and resolve it or go to the section you have put in place for problems.June 7, 2011 at 2:40 am #352402Rosemary Perth Aust.ParticipantThis is a new post lynnie. having problems getting my private messages to submit. Some go and others dont. getting to the stage after the last long letter to a friend that just would not send. in the end the site logged out and i lost the lot. I am getting that way private messages are not for me.
The always go into preview even if i just press submit.
Submit works only when it feels like it. Is this a common thing or just me?June 7, 2011 at 5:42 am #352403lynnie_sydneyParticipantRosemary – cant think why they always go into preview. They dont on mine. Have you checked how many messages in your various boxes? You can delete the oldest of them if you want to make more room (you can do this by the page by marking them all then pressing delete). All PM’s stay in sender’s outbox until recipient opens them – so it may look like they havent gone through. That’s all I can think of at the moment, hope something helps. Lynnie

It has been so frustrating I hate using it and need friends to email me instead.Thing is sometimes it goes -short ones) and others usually the lengthy ones refuse to, even go into preview. Always goes into preview first even when I press submit. Nevermind you have enough on your plate.
June 8, 2011 at 1:50 am #352405Rosemary Perth Aust.ParticipantNow that is the first one that did not go into preview.

Rosemary – try writing the long PM’s in a Word doc and then pasting over. Dont think this software “plays well” with lengthy communications. Lynnie

At least they did not say they went.
No I am not hitting preview. It has always gone into preview first which is not a problem if I press submit atain sometimes it goes. Dont worry about it I just will not use it as I do not have the time to waste when they will not go. will use eamil. Possibly could be my computer but i have no problems elsewhere. Not very computerliterate though.. By the way this one goes straight through without going into preview.June 14, 2011 at 6:13 am #352408lynnie_sydneyParticipantLynnie have sent ttwo messages to you or tried to but do not think they went.
