Hi, My rhummy told me to increase my vitamin d so i did. I am now taking 4000 iu's a day. I have sceleroderma, and I take minocin twice a day. I know I heard it could block the minocin. My rummy disagrees with this. I do keep a five hour window. Does anyone have any feedback on this matter?

                                    Thank You, Linda

I have never heard about vitamin d blocking minocin.  What did you hear?  Those that follow the Marshall Protocol believe in restricting vitamin d, but that is all I can think of.

Linda, it is calcium that you should avoid taking within a 2 hour window of the mino – plus minerals such as iron and magnesium (or iron and magnesium rich foods).

Do not take iron supplements, multivitamins, calcium supplements, antacids, or laxatives within 2 hours before or after taking minocycline. These products can make minocycline less effective.
