My friend is using the protocol for Scleroderma and is doing extremely well except for this problem with her finger.  Can any of you people who have this found a way to overcome the problem?  She is concerned it may get infected. It started with a black spot and Says it looks like there is something in there that needs removing but Dr. told her not to let anyone touch it which sounded good advice.  Apparently it weeps.

I just wondered if there is something she should be doing besides the mino..

    Hi Rosemary,

I'm sure the sclero folk will chime in…all I can think is that it might be a digital ulcer?

Manuka honey is supposed to be very good for digital ulcers, if so. It's pasted on and then wrapped, though I believe there is a lotion form, too. Eva Holloway can tell you more. Here is one site I just googled, but there are lots more out there. You'll also find some past discussions on this using the search box:

    Rosemary,

Please tell her to search the posts on saunas and enzymes to improve her circulation.  Some have had good luck with Revatio or Viagra (low dose) to also help with circulation, but the sauna and Neprinol worked really well for me because my Raynaud's is 90% gone.  For now, she must wear gloves and socks 24/7.

    Take care…….kim

Yes Kim she does wear gloves and has Raynauds as well.  It is something to do with the Scleroderma.  they mention it in the book.  I just thought someone else may have had these lumps also. some sort of calcification I think. Not sure without going through the book to find the page. but remember seeing it. Otherwise she is doing very well on the treatment in vompstidon to others not on it.

I have calcafacations in my fingers also. I also get severe skin cracks mainly in thumbs. My nails have ridges and crack and split in the middle. My fingers are still contracted, and I still have raynauds. I was diagnosed with sceroderma five years ago and I take minocin 100 mils. twice a day. Besides my hands I have had amazing results. Does anyone have any suggestions?

                                                          Thank You, Linda
