Hello everyone, I was curious about everyone’s experience with Herxeimer reaction. Could you please tell me what the symptoms and pains you have experienced. Did any of it feel unusual or unexpected? I appreciate everyone’s feedback. Thanks! : )

Hi Annette,
I recently went thru herxing ( June 2020)
I am 42 and have recently diagnosed advanced RA and went on minocycline, first RA DMARD I’ve ever taken. It seemed to heighten my usual RA symptoms for about two weeks. I stayed home and expected that I wouldn’t be able to work.. Shooting pains, felt like I was dying, severe fatigue.. The usual feeling of RA 🤯😉 amplified x 10.
Then..lo and behold 2-3 weeks later I felt fantastic!!
I did start LDN at same time and had methylprednisolone as a crutch ( I didn’t use often)
Be prepared for the worst but… Just keep going. You can do it!! Good luck!!
