Periodontal Disease: New info & straight talk from Dr. Kennedy

Dr. David C. Kennedy has been a guest on Martie Whittekin's “Healthy By Nature” radio show several times over the past number of years.  He was again her guest today, Saturday, July 12, 2008.  His discussion about gum disease this morning was especially important to me, and he gave definitive information about this problem and what really is effective for this problem.  Turn your speaker volume up and click on:  071208.mp3[/size]

I believe all of us with chronic illness can benefit from listening to this interview.  He spoke about this problem being systemic, and how the bacteria that is affecting our mouth is part of our other serious problems as well, including heart disease and even cancer.

Dr. Kennedy mentioned simple products and methods that can be used by us at home that can address these problems of bad bacteria around the teeth and gums.  I've always taken very good care of my teeth, and until I became chronically ill a number of years ago, my teeth and mouth were in good shape.  Now, no matter what I do, things continue going downhill.  And now I realize if I'd had the information heard today, I might have been much more successful. 
 
As I heard Dr. Kennedy discuss this periodontal problem — and what helps and what does not address it — I felt anger that we haven't been told about this available information long ago. I will certainly be looking into and addressing this before my next appointment scheduled in a few weeks.
