is protection from light sensitivity something to take seriously ? After
2 1/2 weeks on minocin I notice slightly blodshot eyes for last 3-4 days
Is this a sign of light sensitivity?

Most people with photophobia experience discomfort in bright light and headaches. Bloodshot eyes can be caused by many things, one of which is uveitis, but it could be anything like fatigue, allergies, side effect of a drug, etc. Uveitis is seen in people with AI diseases, if it continues, you should let your doctor know or see an eye doctor.

    Hi Caroline,

Noirs may make you more comfortable in bright light, but are not required for AP therapy. Some of the longer standing AP-ers may be able to say if this is minocin creating a herx reaction in your eye.

MP requires NoIR sunglasses because they add Benicar to the protocol which modulates the vitamin D receptor among many other hormones. Then it is vital to protect eyes.

Ask your eye doctor about the eye irritation if it continues.
