To fill everyone in, I last saw my rheumy in Feb., had labs done.  I told him I wanted to stop the infusions I was receiving (last one in mid-Jan).  That conversation didn't go well.  So I went back today (after 4 months with no infusions, only mino) for labs and a visit.  MY LABS WERE PERFECT!!!  My sed rate was 11, it had been 9 in Feb.  I said I felt perfectly fine.  He seemed a bit disappointed, maybe a bit confused as to how this had happened.  You would think he might take another look at AP, but I doubt it.  He had nothing negative or positive to say.  Just “see you in 4 months”.  Who knows what he said behind my back after I left (like last time)!
I have to say I felt a bit smug when I left.  😎
I am SO happy with these results!  I only hope it is smooth sailing for a while.

    Thanks for letting me share!

YAY, Jen!!!!!!  And with what grace you held yourself! Just so pleased for you. 😀 Thank you for sharing!  Please stay in touch with how you're progressing, as I – for one – would love to hear of your continued success with AP.

    Peace, Maz

Hurray for you Jennifer! I think doctors will have to notice these “real” successful AP cases such as yourself.

At my recent appointment with the scleroderma expert doctor/researcher, she basically said to “continue” with what I'm doing. She doesn't attribute anything to Minocin but she has seen for herself that my symptoms are reversing. Her first evaluation of me (1.5 years ago) stated that my symptoms were “galloping along”. I only have to see her once a year and I don't need any internal organ tests other than an annual pulmonary function test. Life is good!

Hurray for you both Jennifer and Susan! So glad you are both doing so well. And it sounds like you have struck a perfect balance with your respective specialists. Lynnie
