When I see my Rheumatologist in a month I want to know what tests or other criteria are used to determine if this sero negative arthritis will be migrating elsewhere automatically or if it may remain contained in one
body part. If standards vary greatly from one doctor to another or if it is
a subjective diagnosis, I would like some clues.

It is now localized in wrist, but if it can strike massively throughout the body without warning, as John McD described, I need to do some serious advance life planning.

Am new to this & appreciate this bulletin board & the quality of volunteers
like Cheryl F & John McD who have taken time to help me navigate the
    maze.

There are genetic markers that predict, for instance, various cancers, so
maybe there is a marker for systemic verus localized sero negative arthritis ?? Wonder if sero negative is connected to the HLAB 27 gene in any others of you or maybe this is just an unrelated coincidence?
