    I thought I'd heard everything, then I ran across an article about this syndrome. Symptoms include sleeping, sometimes for as long as 13 days, with 2-3 hrs a day being awake but not really cognitive, depression and binging. No known cause but get this, the current thinking is that it is an autoimmune disease, AND the first episode often follows a triggering event like an infection. I thought my symptoms were life altering, but this could really prevent one from functioning.

    And they've tested the people for infections like the tetse bug (sp?).
