    I spent a hour last nigth with a Kinesiologist.  She has suggested that I take the following supplements and has assured me that none of them will interfere with my AP:

    Triple Zinc 4 capsules a day

    Selinium Picolinate – 1 capsule twice a day

    Apex remedy 13 – 5 drops three times a day

    I have two questions which I would appreciate feedback on. The first is has anyone been down this route with any success and secondly is there anything above that anyone feels may be detrimental to my ongoing AP?  I was under the impression that I shouldnt be taking any metals as supplements.

    Any feedback as always would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Simon

    Simon – supplements can help with healing – there is no hard and fast rule for everyone.

    Selenium is sometimes recommended for psoriasis. http://autoimmunedisease.suite101.com/article.cfm/selenium_deficiency

    Apex remedies are homeopathic and there are many of them. Depends on what she has recommended. http://www.ritecare.com/members/homeopathics/apex/resonance/antitox-a.asp

    The mineral zinc is used for many actions in the body – and zinc deficiency is apparently widespread. There have been discussions about this before. See this link for one of them: http://www.rbfbb.org/view_topic.php?id=1515&forum_id=1&highlight=zinc

    The general rule with supplements is to take them well away from the abx. Lynnie

    Hi Simon;
          I have the most wonderful doctor who was terribly ill and got herself out of the mess so I believe just avout everything she tells me to do.She says that all of us have leaky gut and malabsorbtion and that we do not absorb enough nutients.She put me on zinc,silica,selenium,magnesium and calcium at twice the recommended dose since I would only be getting half or less due to gut problems.Then she put me on a diet that would try the patience of the saints because of food sensitivities and celiac.

    Thanks Lynnie and Lynne for your feedback.  The Kinesiologist I saw seemed to know her stuff so I am going to try the supplements she has suggested for a month. All I seem to be doing at the moment is working out when to take my next pill. Still I keep reminding myself that it's better than a shot of Humira every two weeks!!!!
