Itching at possible tick bite site

I was in Alaska in June of 2009 and got a bite on the inside of my left ankle. It was an intense itching that nothing relieved. When we got home to California a week later, I didn’t think anything of it. By January 2010 I had the fog, pain, and all. I got a bullseye on my arm in 2010, but that was it.
Today I was out in our patio with the dog and I started itching the same spot on my ankle. Same intense itching-no sign of a bug.
Is it possible for the site to rear up again with itching or did I just get a possible other bug bite. I know you can’t diagnose via email, just wondered if anyone had heard of the site suddenly itching again…..Thanks
