I was wondering how exactly you get a nurse to come your home and administer IV's. I've read several recieve home treatment and was hoping someone could share their experience and any advice. I am not sure where to start and need help. Thanks guys, like always :roll-laugh:

I have home health care as part of my insurance coverage.  Dr. F in Riverside ordered the iv's, and my internist ordered the home health service for me, since Dr. F is in California, and I'm in Chicago.  My insurance allows 60 visits from a nurse per calendar year, which works out perfectly since I have iv's for 5 days/month for the next year.  I don't know how else you can get a home health nurse, unless you would know someone that would agree to do the iv's for you.

I hope this helps…and good luck with your treatments!
