    Does anyone know if Dr F (in California) is willing to consult with my Rhuemy?

    I do not believe that Dr. F offers this unless you are his patient. Of course, if your are his patient and he needs to consult with your home twn rheumy, I assume that he would do that.

    To my knowledge, the only experienced AP doctors who are will and routinely consult with other doctors for patients who are not directly under their care are Dr. S in Iowa and Dr. T in Boston. These men are saints to offer this, it is not common. As a patient of Dr. F's I can attest to the fact that he works extremely long hours just caring for his own patients.

    That said, it wouldn't hurt for your doctor to call and ask. Why not ask all they can do is say no.
