Does anyone know whether or not AP has been successful in treating severe psoriasis that only has the skin affliction and not the arthritis of the joints? Thanks.

    D Paul:

I just did a search of the old RBF BBoard and found the following post regarding the use of AP for psorisis.  There were many more also, but I thought this was a nice testimony.

If you would like to see more, please send me a PM and I will help you find the posts on the old BBoard.

I hope your family member is also doing well.

    : Hi Exxx,
    :
: Your progress is so exciting, and I'm very happy
    : for you.
    :
: I have been on AP for five years and have done
: very well. My [family member] has had psoriasis
: on his ankle/leg area for some time, as well as
: some joint inflammation. I've felt quite sure for
: a year or so that his condition and symptoms
: really pointed to a “rheumatic”
: condition and have suggested testing, which he
: usually shrugs off. His joint conditions seem to
: be worsening, and feel AP would give him much
    : relief.
    :
: Could you share how AP has affected your
: psoriasis? It would be appreciated. Also, would
: you share your treatments, medications, and
    : supplements, etc.
    :
    : Thanks,
    : [AF]

    : Hi-
: I am writing to say that I've now been on the AP
: for 8 months and I am doing great!!!
: My next update will be written at the one year
: mark and I am more than hopeful that I will see it
    : through in remission.
: I am nearing 1&1/2 years of not being
: debilitated. It's great to have a life with
: consistency and only mild pain or discomfort and
: fatigue, rather than the overwhelming,
    : life-destroying kind.
    : I just wanted to share. I can't believe I found
    : this. Thank you RBF!!!!!!!

    D Paul,

Below is a link to an Arthritis article that includes psoriasis with other diagnoses.  You probably will want to read the whole article.  However, if you click the link below and then click “Edit” on top left side of the screen, and then click “Find” and type in “psoriasis”, this will take you to the psoriasis information.

I just noticed that Cheryl has been resourceful and found a post by someone with psoriasis who used Minocin and had excellent benefit from it.

    Good luck to you,

    AF
