Anti RNP antibody is anyone familiar with this?

Hi everyone I am hoping you can help me.

Regarding anti rnp antibody I have this and my rheumy says it always means MCTD however I have no symptoms of MCTD so I am wondering does anyone know if it can mean another illness at all.

It is an important tool for diagnosing rheumatic diseases–it is a marker mainly for MCTD –but not only that it can be a marker for RA –SD -lupus and a few others –its really not a very conclusive test –as with most of these tests –really doesnt tell much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
