I found this ALA link on LDN forums. Thought you guys would be interested in knowing that some of us are not using the proper quality ALA as suggested by Dr Berkson in NM. In my case, I am using NSI brand ALA with L-Carnitine.

I buy only Metabolic Maintenance Alpha Lipoic Acid.  A while back, after hearing Dr. Berkson's success with ALA, I called his office to see if it could be ordered.  I was told it was this brand, because it is pharmaceutical grade thioctic acid.  I love ALA, and it is one of my go-to detoxifiers.  I take at least two capsules, two or three times a day.  It's great with the lemon olive oil drink to cleanse and detoxify at night.

This was posted once before, but for those that are interested, the prices are half of what I have seen them on other sites.

Nspiker, I looked at this product on another website for the same product you mentioned.

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a fat-soluble and water-soluble antioxidant. In cells, the reduced form is able to regenerate antioxidants such as glutathione, vitamin C and vitamin E. The antioxidant effect is excellent for individuals with compromised hepatic function. ALA may increase cellular glucose uptake and studies have demonstrated that ALA taken with L-Carnitine helps to improve memory performance. Our Alpha Lipoic Acid comes from the finest European sources.*

The same website also has a 300 mg version of it which is not available on the link you posted.
