Hi everyone…it’s been a looong time.
I have come back to the forum (I consider you all my collective hive brain for cutting edge research!) because I was just told about a treatment for scleroderma that a family friend is using with great success. It’s called Acthar and turns out it’s a type of hormone therapy. I didn’t see any posts here about it, but I wanted to see if anyone has heard about it, used it, etc.
Apparently our family friend was doing poorly, but she said that since she’s been taking acthar the lesion on her heart has disappeared and she has not had to use her inhaler for her asthma for months. Please keep in mind this is only one person’s experience and I am not aware of what other therapies she may be using.
The only information I have seen in my quick internet search on acthar actually said that people with scleroderma should NOT take it. I will be looking into it further…I am wondering if it could be useful for other autoimmune issues.
Please discuss if you know anything about it.

    Thanks all y’all!!
    ~mj
