    Hey all,

I just started taking acidophillus pearls as a probiotic. I tried to find those PB8 ones but I wasn't succesful so I purchased the other brand…then I found PB8 :). Are PB8 supposed to be better than the other brands?  Just curious.

    Thanks a bunch,
    Liz

    Hi Liz and MKay,

I first heard about PB8 probiotics from Richie, an AP old-timer, who has been in remission for a number of years from scleroderma and on AP for about 10 or so years, if memory serves. He'd used PB8 with great success, so I followed in his footsteps and found this brand worked well for me, too. I think everyone finds the one that works best for them and their pocket, ultimately, or whatver their AP doc recommends. Some folk also like to rotate their probiotics to customize their own proprietary blend.

I buy my PB8 (vegetarian caps) from http://www.vitacost.com in bulk as this source is pretty reasonable, cost-wise…I usually order 6 bottles at a time to save on shipping costs. They last for a good few months and I take 8 a day. They also don't need refridgerating, but once I open mine, I do keep them stored in the fridge.

    Peace, Maz
