Yeast Already

Hi. I am new to MINO but I have been on it 3 weeks today. I can already tell I am having a yeast build up in my mouth. I have been taking 2 probiotics daily but I am guessing I need something better. I am taking cultural 2 x daily. I was wondering what everyone else was using and if when I should be taking the probiotic. I usually take it 2 hours after the Mino. Is there anything else I could be doing that could be helping the yeast. Thank you so much for all you help.

Hi snglbear,

My doctor prescribed Nystatin (500,000 units QID changed to BID after a year) from the start because I take full daily doses of both Azithromycin (250mg BID) and Minocycline (100mg BID). I’ve never had a yeast infection (since birth) but if there was ever a time in my life when one might occur, it would be while on these antibiotics and there’s been no sign of one.

I also take probiotics PB8 (daily) and TruFlora (twice a week) right before bed, about 4-5 hours after my PM dose of antibiotics. Some people add probiotics midday, halfway between the am and pm doses, in addition to the probiotics before bed.
