Susan, this one's mainly for you.  I'm in the middle of a 30-day parasite cleanse and yesterday I pulled a worm out of my nose.:shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:

Too many more 'discoveries' may just do me in!

    OMG Kim!

I have heard of this happening to others and thought I would be horrified to have such a thing happen to me.

Keep up the cleanse.  This nasty buggers are part of your illness for sure.

    Kim,

I'm looking at your numerous illnesses and I am taking this as a very good sign.  Worms in your nose can't be good for you.

I bet you jumpstart your healing now!

    OMG is right!

After recovering from my shock at your post, I have to ask……did you save it?  Do you want to know what kind?  I would.

Mom of teen daughter with Poly JIA since age 2. Current med: azithromycin 250 mg MWF.

Funny, I did save it, but it's kind of shriveled up ~ looks like the earthworms dried up on the sidewalk.  I found a few more this morning and they weren't from my sinuses. 😯  All of this is just so repulsive I'm coming unglued.  Someone on one of the Lyme boards was saying you have better luck taking your “discoveries” to a vet than your doctor.  Sadly, he's probably right.

I've read that blood testing for parasites is a joke because it only tests for a very few parasites and there are thousands, so what's the point.  The prescription drugs target specific parasites and since I'm already taking so man pills, I thought the herbal cleanse made more sense.  I don't know if any of that made sense — I am really wigged out by this.

I would be too.  The upside, they are coming out meaning they don't find your body hospitable anymore!!

When your husband tells you that you are “less than reasonable”–ask him by whose standards and remind him of what you are dealing with on a daily basis.

My doctor (naturapath) cautioned me that when on treatment many gruesome things are possible.  My neighbor had a puss surrounded tick surface two years after treatment; she freaked!

    Take care,

Lyme/RA; AP 4/2008 off and on to 3/2010; past use of quinolones may be the cause of my current problems, (including wheelchair use); all supplements (which can aggravate the condition) were discontinued on 10/14/2012. Am now treating for the homozygous MTHFR 1298 mutation. Off of all pain meds since Spring '14 (was on them for years--doctor is amazed--me too). Back on pain med 1/2017. Reinfected? Frozen shoulder?

My family does not think you are less than reasonable.  They all want to order Humaworm and take a round to be sure none of them have worms in their sinuses.

My husband and my son-in-law have both suffered significant, ongoing sinus infections.  A D.O. healed my husband and he hasn't had a sinus infection for several years now, but my s-o-l is plagued with them.

Did you suffer sinus issues?  My husband wants me to ask you if the worms were alive when you pulled them out?  How big?

Also, you say they aren't coming from your sinuses.  How can you tell?

I feel for you.  There is a limit to what I can handle and worms in my nose really comes close.  Worms in my brain is over the top.

I wonder if Humaworm is more “worm oriented” than the parasite cleanse I am doing.

Ach, Kim, you poor thing. No wonder you're wigged out – creepy crawly ticks are enough to wig me out, so I can only imagine how you must be feeling.

I wonder if you put it in a bit of water in a container, if it would preserve it a bit better. The suggestion to get a vet to check it out is a very good idea. I think that's what I'd do…or at least get a digital pic and find a parasite specialist online or email to your LLMD to see if they could identify it. Vets are dealing with parasites a good deal of the time and would probably send it out to a lab for you, but that may not be necessary if it can by identified by just a pic. It's not a nice thought, but to know what type of worm it is might help in some way in terms of making sure that your treatment is sufficient.

Oh man, this is something I've been putting off for a very long time…but I guess I'm going to have to get over myself and just do it now. These parasites just leach so much of our nutrients and they are definitely “better out than in!” The people on the liver flush group I joined a few years back all did parasite cleanses and talked about this kind of thing. It wigged me out just thinking about it, so I skipped the parasite cleanse stage, though I had bought the stuff to do it. What a wimp, eh?

Thanks so much for sharing in spite of how you must be feeling…this could help a lot of people.

    Peace, Maz

PS Kim, I just found this link:

    http://hubpages.com/hub/Herbal-Parasite-Cleanse-Experiment-With-Humaworm

According to this person, Curezone has a parasite cleanse support forum where if the owner of Humaworm is contacted, he can help to identify your worm if a digital pic is posted.

Oooooooh, this is so gross I'm hesitant to even post.

Susan, you asked if I'd been plagued with sinus problems and the answer is no.  I did have a massive whole body infection a few years ago that started this whole autoimmune mess.  That infection started in my sinuses and spread.  I went to the ENT who could not get it under control with a whole host of abx and commented on my deviated septum.  This was news to me because I had no clue I had a deviated septum or that it was a problem.  I broke my nose when I was 2 years old, so obviously don't remember.  Anyway, he recommended surgery to fix that and clear the infection which I did.  It's really a bummer because I'm one of the few people that had that surgery that didn't need a nose job!  Thought I should have bartered and asked for something else in exchange, but I didn't. 🙂

So that was that.  I had noticed some puffiness on the sides of my nose recently, but I have a lot going on and unless something really hurts, it gets put on the back burner.  The reason I finally got up the nerve to do the parasite cleanse (it only took 6 months) was due to gut bloating that did not improve with going gluten-free (still not happy about that one) the way I thought it should, so checking for parasites seemed reasonable.  So you can imagine why the first worm that was in my nose was a shocker. 😯  The subsequent worms were intestinal, and that's all I'm going to say.  They are between 1-2 cm, opaque with a rounded head end and pointed tail end.  They were not moving, but were definitely not dried up either so I don't know what part of their life cycle they were in.

Sorry to be so graphic.  I'm already on the edge from Babs herxing so this is just a little too much.  Man, I'm sick of this.  I feel like someone keeps moving the finish line!

    Kim,

If this all began after the whole body infection that began in your sinuses, then this could be the source you needed to remove.

I'm having positive thoughts that very soon you will be feeling much better.

Hang in there with the Babs symptoms.  I am mildly experiencing those myself and they are not fun!

Babs is a parasite and even though the Humaworm webpage does not discuss Babs, it does say malaria.  This just might help with the Babs too.

How are you treating the Babesia?

Thanks for the link, Maz.  I just read through her journey and it sounds painfully familiar.  Just as the author did, I researched the various products and read through the curezone posts and settled on the Humaworm.  I'd already read the shocking stories of the curezone posters so I wasn't as traumatized as I might have been.  She talks of extreme itchiness and fatigue and boy, can I relate to that.

As you know, I've had many tick bites (probably 20 in the last five years).  Last year I had 4 ticks that had been extracted from my scalp in a zip lock baggie.  They lived in this air-tight bag for 3 months.  Somehow, I just don't feel like bonding with these damn worms.  I took a picture and pitched them. :X  I am so out of patience!

I can't wait to hear about the conference.   Thank you for going.  You are an amazing woman with a huge heart.

    Hugs…….kim

My Babs tx:  10 days of Qualaquin and Clindamycin, then

10 days of Plaquenil and Biaxin, then repeat the sequence one more time for a total of 40 days.

What drugs is your doc using for Babs?

    Susan and Kim,

In regards to your parasite problems, there is something you may want to check out.  My integrative MD is the one that first brought this device to my attention.  It is called a “Zapper.”  It is a small contraption that runs on a 9-volt battery.  It has copper paddles attached to it which you hold on to for a period of time and a small bit of electricity goes through you (don't worry – you don't feel a thing).  This contraption was created by a woman named Hulda Clark (http://www.huldaclark.com).   This process kills parasites in the blood.  It doesn't work if they are in your tissues or established in your gut – but,  it does kill them in the blood.  My doc told me it is very easy for parasites to cross from the intestines to the blood (they have so many stages of development).  I bought a Zapper myself through the above web site and try to use it regularly.   Parasites are easier to pick up than people may think, especially if you are around pets or other animals.  If you want to find out more,  go to your local library and get one of Hulda Clark's books.  She blames much illness on parasites – even cancer.

    Hi Kim,

My thoughts about ticks and worms are that it's quite possible that ticks are also passing these things (quite apart from uncooked meat or fish). They have numerous animal hosts during their two-year life span and any animals in the wild carrying these worms (in larval or egg form in their blood) can pass these on to human hosts. I always remember my Dad telling us as kids not to kiss our dogs, because we might get worms. I used to think it was a parental scare tactic, but now I'm not so sure. Being a vet, I think he just knew the things our animal friends could transmit.

The conference was great! Some interesting speakers, including Dr R, a Lyme Literate physician on Long Island, and a Physician's Assistant who was quite entertaining. Also, a clinical psychologist who gave a presentation on the psychological effects of Lyme, including depression, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and the more serious consequences causing personality changes (OCD, schizophrenia, psychosis, etc). To be honest, there wasn't much more than probably you and I and other Lymies don't already know, but the best part of the conference was that Henry Scammell's daughter was there and gave a really great presentation on behalf of Road Back. There were a number of rheumatics there at the conference (or attendees who knew someone with a rheumatic disease) and they were very interested in the protocol and one physician in attendance (from France) was very interested in the treatment for scleroderma. All in all a very good outreach opportunity for RBF as we were able to hand out lots of brochures, bookmarks and literature. Meeting both Henry's daughter and Diane Aronson (past RBF Pres and patient of Dr Brown's with her story documented in The New Arthritis Breakthrough) was phenomenal! Diane is still in remission and looking young and beautiful as ever…a very kind, gentle person and I felt very honored to meet her. The last talk of the day was by IGeneX and I was kicking myself that we had to leave to catch our ferry and I had to miss the talk!

I have a print out of the PA's talk, so will share from it when I dig it out from all my papers and include some of his pointers in a post soon. It's 6 sides long, so will try and do a summary.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience! I was pretty exhausted when I got home last night and slept like a baby last night.

    Peace, Maz
