Make sure you are getting a good vitamin D supplement. You should have your levels checked first. Do you see a AB protocol Physician? They are usually veery good at this. Also are you diagnosed with anemia? Said Dr will no doubt order an iron supplement. This can be tricky as it could interfere with Antibiotic absorption. Both supplements should be dosed by a Physician, preferably AB protocol Dr. as both supplements could become counterintuitive. Also u might want to get adequate Vit C as it enhances both iron and AB. One last thing u could do is add Kefir yogurt to your diet as the Antibiotics are killing good gut flora along with the bugs.

Btw, I see you are considering surgery for Carpal tunnel. As long as there is inflammation you will continue to have Carpal Tunnel syndrome. Also surgery is to help scarring and to lengthen. Unfortunately the surgery can create new scars. Catch 22 ?

I am new to this site and am probably making a mistake posting here. I have had arthritis (diagnosed OA) since my twenties in my spine and neck. I have taken antiinflammatories since that point with Nexium for some years now. I have had ulcers at a result. It moved to hands that became deformed with large painful tender joints in my thirties. Then it moved to my knees and elbows and wrists. About two years ago I was walking (something I did every day) when I was attacked by a pitt bull dog. The struggle continued for twenty minutes before the police arrived. Since that point I have declined rapidly. I am 66 years. The pain has been intolerable and the damage to the joints has increased four fold. At that point the Rheumatologist decided it is EOA erosive osteoarthritis and added Xanax for sleep and Cymbalta since he felt I was depressed and anxious following the attack. I finally got off the Cymbalta with the help of Road Back, but not the Xanax. I am assuming “that” Road Back is connected with this site. Please correct me if it is not. Within the past two months the pain has become such that I am unable to sleep and rapidly becoming disabled so I sought out a different Rheumatologist. She prescribed Plaquenil and Tramadol. She assured me that the Tramadol did not act in any way similar to Cymbalta and assured me there would be no problem. Within one month of taking it I became violently ill with the same symptoms as I had with Cymbalta (vomiting, brain zaps, shaking, sweating, extreme anxiety,

I am so sorry to read of your troubles. I am rather new to the AP but I have found that taking 6000 mgs of fish oil each night seems to help with the pain and swelling. Also, apparently Consumer Reports did a study on fish oil and found that the cheap stuff is just as good. Bless you and I hope things improve.

Hi This Road Back Foundation has no connection whatsoever with the other Road Back Program which deals with drug withdrawal –This Road Back Foundation advocates the use of antibiotic in the treatment of rheumatic diseases -Based on the early work of Dr Brown —

    Rah543,
It looks that you have not tried AP yet, antibiotics protocol. Maybe you should consider it like many of us have done so.
    All the best,
    Linda L.

Studies have shown that fish oil causes aging and other health problems due to oxidation. I use krill oil with meal and astaxanthin near bed time. I’d also suggest you look into the borax protocol.

krill oil and magtein have both helped me different ways cognitively.

magtein helps me function better cognitively. the effects can be felt fairly quick.

krill oil helps with the physiological depression but it is a slow process and subtle.
i think one needs to be prepared to supplement at least 6 months.

I noticed krill oil is VERY expensive. Never heard of Magnatine(sp?) but I will look into that as well. I definitely need help for my memory!

    Bonnie,
Glad I saw your note/quote above. I have a success story for you. I did a search and found a number of posts with carpal tunnel (some of them my own about a dau’s experience). I had purchased the book because he was my grandparents’ family physician for many years. Also, Dr. Ellis and Karl Folkers did longterm research on carpal tunnel very effectively:

    Good luck to you,

    Rah543,
Your name/info does not show the area where you live. It would be helpful to have the area so we might know which AP physicians are nearest to you. Knowing what I’ve learned about Dr. Brown and the work he began that has helped so very many people, including myself, if you could have an appointment with a physician knowledgeable of and devoted to his protocols, I believe that would be an excellent place for you to begin. Even if you were only able to have the first trip/visit with such a physician, needed testing could be done, to “rule in” or to “rule out” treatments indicated to help you get on the Road Back.

Something very profound I’ve learned over the years is that everyone who has medical degree designations by his/her name does not ensure to us that what they recommend will be helpful to “us.” On the contrary (and dentists included), it’s a mine field out there when it comes to selecting a medical professional (including specialists) This is, and continues to be, my own experience. We have to educate ourselves every day, so we can best help choose the path (road) we will follow.

Many of us are here to tell you that there is “help” for you if you see a kind, compassionate physician knowledgeable of Dr. Thomas McPherson Brown’s work — whose work is told about in the later book, “The New Arthritis Breakthrough” by Henry Scammell… which includes in it Dr. Brown’s original book/work.

Many of us will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers — and your loving pets,
    AF
