Take a look at Stem Cell Reserch for RA, I would like to be in a reserch group. Does anyone have any info on this treatment its supposed to be VERY effective.
Hi. While it can be very effective, it can also be very deadly. It is truly a last resort, and my guess is they wouldn’t consider someone unless they have failed all the approved meds. The last I heard, it was being done at Northwestern U in Chicago, but that was several years ago. You might start there for more info.

Some new things have evolved from autologous stem cell therapy (using one’s own blood or fat tissue to grow stem cells for re-infusion) without the need for immune-suppression that are now making it less concerning than it was in the past. Here is a recent link to a discussion on this:
