Hi,
I stubled across an interesting psoriasis study:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/10827473
Incredible results IMHO: “The authors demonstrated significant curative effect of bile acids (Suprachol; Acidum dehydrocholicum) in 551 psoriatic patients. The clinical efficiancy was evaluated by means of PASI-score (Psoriasis Area Severity Index). During this treatment (1-8 weeks) 434 patients (78.8 per cent) became asymptomatic. …”
There must not be much money in bile acids as there is not much else. One other related article on pubmed:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17376209Here’s the article (ad?) that first caught my attention:

There was a link to this pdf on bile salts. Very interesting read:Bile acids are bacteriostatic in the intestine. FXR?? activation has been shown to be enteroprotective, resulting in the prevention of bacterial overgrowth and subsequent epithelial deterioration and bacterial translocation due to increased gastrointestinal permeability. Bacteriostatic agents work with the immune system to remove pathogenic microorganisms from the body.30 The healthy production and flow of bile acids reduces risk of leaky gut and bacterial migration, as well as inhibiting pathogen overgrowth, especially for small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.

June 1, 2012 at 11:31 pm #363459ParisaParticipantI found this excerpt from an article (BILE SALTS CAN HEAL PSORIASIS, SEPTICEMIA, VIRAL INFECTIONS & EXCESS ESTROGEN)from a Dr. Howenstine regarding bile salts to be very interesting:
“The liver is a storage site for carcinogens, drugs, chemicals, pesticides, herbicides etc. Inability to remove these toxic substances can lead to inflammatory changes,[3] decreased liver blood flow and decreased bile production. When toxins are not eliminated from the intestinal tract they overflow into the lymphatic system, blood, joints and other tissues. One of these Hungarian researchers speculated that by the time a patient developed allergies and joint and muscle inflammation 75% of the bile production was lost. When a serious illness like cancer arrived up to 90% of bile production was probably lacking.”

Wow! I’ll be mentioning this to my doctor!
