Hi all,
I have RA. I have had it since I was 27 and I am now 55. I have been on minocycline 100 mg one cap twice daily on Mon, wed and fri. Azithromycin 250mg 2 tabs twice daily Tue and Thursday. I have been on this protocol for 2 years. I also take 10 mg of predisone and meloxicam 15mg one tab daily. Six months ago was put on Hydromorphone HCL 2mg twice daily and Morphine sulfate er 15mg at night because I have two bugling discs in my neck along with arthritis that are pinching nerves in my arms causing arm weakness and pain. I have been gradually getting worst and now I am having a terrible flare up. My doctor is new at this protocol and wanted me to see if you all new of some different steps we could take to get this settled down. It is scaring me cuz I am losing some functions in my arms due to arthritis real bad in my elbows and the nerve thing combined. Please let me know what else we can try. I saw in one message where you suggested plaqunil.

If your doctor would be willing to consult with Dr S. of Ida Grove, that could be one way to approach this. Dr S. is one of the most experienced AP docs, trained under Dr Brown (has a chapter in the Scammell book) and, although now retired, still helps patients and will consult with their docs. Diet: no gluten, dairy, sulphites, low salicylates
Supps: 600mg N-AC BID, 1000mg Vit C, P5P 40mg, zinc picolinate 60mg, Lithium orotate 20mg, Magnesium Oil, Bio-identical hormones (DHEA + Prog + Estrog)
