Hello Everyone, can taking minocycline for an extended period of time cause problems or damage the kidneys? I’ve been taking 150 mg daily of mino for 2 years and am very happy with how much it has helped me with scleroderma. Until recently, I haven’t had any problems but I’ve been feeling aches in the kidney area and some also in lungs. Has anyone had similar problems after taking mino for years? Is it ok to stop taking the mino for a short time until I get test results? I have a doctor appointment next week and will ask to have blood tests run. I greatly appreciate any advice

That sounds strange but with this disease everything seems to be on the plate. If I was in your shoes I would stop until getting the report of testing
