loss of taste?

Hi, has anyone experienced loss of taste? I’ve been on mino,(200mg mwf) plaquenil,(100mg) ibuprofen(1600mg)prednisone (5mg) for a few years. I started some ozone shots recently (3x now for shoulder joint pain) and have started rubbing bee venom cream on my upper back and knees. I just asked my ND if this could cause loss of taste and she said she hadn’t heard of it doing so. Help! My taste is one of the few things left! Sandy

Hi Sandy;
Loss of taste was one of my first SD symptoms.It was caused by yeast and my doctor only figured it out one he saw my tongue was white.I likely had it for some time before that happened.Yeast is also known as candida and leaky gut.Dr Leo Gallant has a lot of info that helped me along with a good dose of diflucam and the antibiotic called metronidazole.It took me several months to get my sense of taste back.

Hi, thanks for letting me know about diflucan. I was on this 2x a week for the past two months plus, and then I realized from your post, that I accidentally forgot this for the past 2-3 weeks. Do you think this could have brought this loss of taste back? How long can one safely be on diflucan? (yes, I will also ask my MD as my lack of taste has been for about a week now). Sandy
