So I’m sitting comfortably on the couch easing into my day while drinking my first cup of coffee when I feel this slight itch under my chin. I go to scratch it and find a hard little piece of cereal pasted to my chin. I’m thinking “wow am I a sloppy eater”, but upon further inspection, it wasn’t cereal, it was a TICK. I got him before he bit me, so no infections/coinfections from this bugger, but he sure gave me a nasty case of the creepy crawlies as I continually search my body for any indications of his brethren.

Wow! That would have creeped me out for sure.
I’m sure it was hard to continue enjoying your cup of coffee after that incident.
    Take care.

    Hi Todd–

My husband and I are planning a trip up north to our cottage and surrounding “tick-infested” woods. Yikes!! Your post has given me some creepy crawlie sensations. I sure hope I don’t bring any “hitchhikers” home. Although, your post also reminds me that you don’t have to travel up north to come in contact with ticks.

    Take care,
    Trudi

Lyme/RA; AP 4/2008 off and on to 3/2010; past use of quinolones may be the cause of my current problems, (including wheelchair use); all supplements (which can aggravate the condition) were discontinued on 10/14/2012. Am now treating for the homozygous MTHFR 1298 mutation. Off of all pain meds since Spring '14 (was on them for years--doctor is amazed--me too). Back on pain med 1/2017. Reinfected? Frozen shoulder?

    Todd,

That would creep me out too 😛 !!!

This weekend I was petting our golden retriever, and felt a little bump. There it was, a little tick on her back…..and we live in Southern California where there are “supposedly” no ticks 🙄 !

Glad the little bugger was only wandering around…
