Hydroxychloroquine

I have been on Mino for about a year and a half for my ReA and I am thinking about adding Hydroxychloroquine. My local rheum is suggesting adding it to the regiment as I am still experiencing joint pain. I was treated for Lyme with additional antibiotics from April of last year until November when I ran out of money for the additional appointments and meds. I did see a huge improvement in neurological, brain fog and gastro transit symptoms with the added meds. Recent Igenx results show positive on some but not enough bands. I know this is an established treatment and is used for Lyme treatment as well. Has anyone been on both? Any experiences to share. Thanks and best wishes to all.

Yes, I’ve been on both and plaquenil did help to provide some pain relief. It takes a few months to really kick in and needs to be taken with food.
