I had been doing great for about 8 months. I ran out of nattokinase which I take 3 times a week. I was out for about a month and doing fine. I finally got my new supply Aug 1. After I took my second capsul, I had a slight herx and thought well this is good , getting the bugs again. After my third dose, the herx became too intense so I stooped with the intention of starting back slower. 3 weeks later, I have had no improvement. I am detoxing with milk thistle, lemon drink, and epsom baths. I guess I’m looking for reassurance that this is normal and i will turn the corner soon. I didn’t have this strong reaction when I first started taking nattokinase. Any thoughts?

Sandi – sorry I have nothing from my experience to contribute. However, a few things you might consider in your investigations. Did you have herx-like symptoms the first time that you took nattokinase or is this something new? Have you changed brands or has the formulation changed at all? Sometimes a call or email to the m/f or distributor can shed light on this. And if noone here has any experience to share, you might want to post your question at http://www.rheumatic.org forum to see if someone there may be able to shed some light. Lynnie
