Welcome to the RBF Bulleting Board.

I also have the same symptoms as you.  I use sugarless chewing gum (e.g., rylitol gum) or sugarless hard candies (lemon drops) during the day to relieve my oral symptoms, in addition, to the biotene.  The following methods of stimulating my salivary flow are effective, because I do have some salivary function.

Hopefully, other members will have suggestions for you to try.

    Good Luck!

    Sue

Is there anyone with Scleroderma who has noticed an inability to taste food as before, or noticed just that food doesn't taste good/right anymore?  Also, does anyone have difficulty chewing food?  My gastro doctor says food doesn't taste good because I don't smell, and to go see a dentist regarding chewing!!  I think I can smell as before, and I know if I go to a dentist he will see that I need another crown!!

I sip on water all day and all night.  Also, use the Biotene toothpaste.
