Sorry I have raised this in another post as a side question, but wanted to get it the right attention.

Is it true that Clindamycin is not available as IV treatment anymore, as my AP Rheumatologists states? Or is it only not available in the area I live in (Houston, TX). Where would I still be possible to get the treatment? And what would be the alternative? Experiences are welcome.

    Thanks,

    Karel

    Hi Karel,

Intramuscular (IM) injections of clindamycin are an alternative to IV clindamycin. Oral clindamycin is another possible alternative.
