I get my minocin from my allergist but have to see a non-believeing rheumatologist for bloodwork and x-rays ( insurance issues). Yesterday was time for my 6 month labs and he of course argued about my choice of treatment. He sent me home with the usual drug info and forms I refuse to sign. When venting to my husband last night about the whole crazy issue, picked up the pamplet from the Arthritis foundation and was leafing through it. I was amazed when I saw minocin listed as a treatment option. They consider its anti-inflammatory properties rather than its ability to kill bacteria the reason for success. But still that’s a start. I know 3 years ago, it wasn’t even mentioned in the pamplet. I love the irony that after lecturing me on falling for a scam, the doctor gives me this info about minocin.

    Sandi-

Yes, the Arthritis Foundation pamphlet lists minocin as a DMARD. That is why my rheumatologist will prescribe it. Glad you found it.
