I am in more pain when I drink it. I have noticed red dots on my skin the next day. Then If I stop drinking it for a couple days I feel much better. Herx?

Bugs, I think this one is probably individualised. My AP Doc and Naturopath give ACV the big thumbs down – too full of salicylates. Whilst it is supposed to be really good for acid reflux, it is contra-indicated for those with ulcers. And salicylate-based medications (almost all NSAIDS) are known to cause ulcers. More holistic-minded practitioners would also point to Leaky Gut. If you have taken NSAIDS for any length of time, my bet would be that the ACV is aggravating a leaky gut versus the possibility of you herxing from it.

    Be well! Lynnie

    Hi there,
Vinegar really gets my joints hurting, I think its because I am sensitive to so many foods and ACvinegar is one that really makes me feel awful the next day.
I improved lately with eating 90% raw fruits and veggies, no nightshades, corn, grain, dairy
10% nuts, fish , dark chocolate, lean meats

    Have a good one!
