    Hi to all,
I recently stopped prednisone after having been on it for two years. I am of course having some pretty good joint pain as result. I was ordered Percocet which kinda helps for 5 hours. Then I developed an allergic reaction – rash. Went in to the Drs to get something else, but due to the opioid hysteria, it is too soon (order written over a month ago). I will have to return to the Drs next week to get something else. I just need something to get me through the rough stretch for now. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I would try LDN. It helps with pain in 30-50%.

RA tried everything: Methotraxate, Arava, Humira. Pneumonia three times. Anemia. Very low iron. Hypothyroidism
AP from April 2014 till August 2015. No luck.
Current medications: Natural thyroid, Mobic, supplements,
    vitamins and minerals.

I have psoriatic arthritis and the NSAID Diclofenac worked best for me after Prednisone

Psoriatic Arthritis: 100mg Minoz Minocycline TABLET daily; twice daily 400mg Pentoxifylline;125mcg Levotyroxine: Have been using some level of Minocycline since 2008

Do you have an AP doc? Your dosage of mino is pretty low. Maybe an increase would help long term.

Nite owl, you are vegan. I am curious how you control your anemia.

    Hey there,

I use Advil on really bad days to reduce the inflammation and pain and also a hemp oil that also helps primarily with pain and mood! I hope that helps at all!

Sorry about your pain. You might get some relief with topical CBD cream, reapplied frequently. Some people have tried CBD oil sublingually that helps them a lot.
