This was in our local newspaper yesterday, claiming Grape Seed Extract made her Raynaud's disappear.  Has anyone tried this and had success?

No I haven't tried it but I thought it was interesting to see that ginko was mentioned in the article. My rheumatologist recommended taking this for my circulation. I'm not really sure if it is working.

    Hi Jo Ann,

Apparently, grape seed extract has antioxidative properties that are cardio-protective and also influence circulation:

    High blood pressure[/b]

“Antioxidants, such as grape seed, help protect blood vessels from damage. Damaged blood vessels can lead to an increased demand on the heart. In several animal studies, a grape seed extract substantially reduced blood pressure. Human studies are needed to determine whether grape seed extract confers the same benefits to people with high blood pressure.”

My simplified assumption from this is that helping the body to detoxify has some useful effects on reducing inflammation and, therefore, improving circulation.

I've been taking Grapeseed Extract for 13+ yrs as a general overall antioxidant.  I don't have  your condition, but it's been a lifesaver for me re: allergies/sinus issues and just overall general health.

There are many books out there and lots of info online re: GE.

Does anyone know if it is okay to take GSE with antibiotics?

I never stopped the GE when I was taking the doxy for the 3 months.  Never thought of it.  I would ask your pharmacist.  Many pharmacists are knowledgeable on GE.

My guess is it's OK, but only my common sense guess.  Or even ask google that question and see what kind of response.

GE is a blood thinner so those on blood thinning meds should not take it.   best.  jam
