    Hello and Good Friday to all –  I am recovering from a hernia repair surgery I had on Wednesday.  Recovery is slow going but I'm feeling better today than I did yesterday so I'm improving. 

    My question is..I am currently taking Minocycline 100mg. twice a day for AP.  My surgeon has prescribed Cephalexin 500mg. three times a day for a week.  Is it ok to take both? 😕  I take them at different times throughout the day.  The surgeon didn't seem to be concerned but I'm curious if anyone sees this as being a problem.

    Why tickle the dragon's tail? I would stay off the minocin for the week. One week off is not going to significantly affect your RA.

    My daughter took Cephalexin with Zithromax, no problems, and actually had her best ped rheum visit ever following that period.

     

    Mom of teen daughter with Poly JIA since age 2. Current med: azithromycin 250 mg MWF.
