A lot of press releases in the past couple of days linking bacteria in milk and beef to the onset of rheumatoid arthritis. I’ve tried to copy the NHS article on to here, but it won’t work.

Thank you for sharing. It is strange how often milk and beef come up with rheumatic problems, isn’t it. I am off of milk but have not seen where grass fed organic beef has bothered me. I am still working to get my Factor down to normal limits so maybe I could try giving it up for awhile even though I do not eat it weekly anyway. Thanks for sharing. I have also been studying lectins. Also interesting.

    Hi lemons and Spiffy,

You may already know this, but (for anyone who isn’t aware) these are some of the same researchers who are developing the RHB-104 triple antibiotic at Redhill Pharma to treat Crohn’s, RA, MS, and other autoimmune diseases suspected to be caused by mycobacterium avium paratuberculosis (MAP) bacteria.

Here is the info to Redhill and their triple abx called RHB-104

    https://www.redhillbio.com/rheumatoid-arthritis

    https://www.redhillbio.com/RedHill/Templates/showpage.asp?DBID=1&LNGID=1&TMID=178&FID=1365&PID=0&IID=5148

The following study provides info on the percentage amounts of each of the 3 abx in Redhill’s RHB-104 formulation:

    https://gutpathogens.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s13099-016-0115-3

    ”RHB-104, a drug formula with active ingredients composed of (63.3 %) clarithromycin, (6.7 %) clofazimine, and (30 %) rifabutin.”

It’s so good to read of this update and that this research is continuing into late stage trials! The bonus of such a combo approach is to (a) treat with more appropriate doses as a long term therapy and (b) to help target pleomorphisms and prevent resistance.

    Fingers crossed, ladies and gents!

Thank you, Maz, for the reminder and the connection. I will enjoy looking at these sites when on WIFI. So interesting.
