July 28, 2017 at 1:47 am #460237niteowlParticipantHi Maz,
I had it done on Wed. I’ve decided it’s too intense for me. The IV and infusion are ok, but I progressively felt worse with each passing minute. I felt like I wanted to die. No redness at IV site, but my tricep in the arm with the IV feels like someone hit it repeatedly with a tire iron! I also got chills by that evening and had to resort to my emergency pain meds.I decided I needed to do something, so I took a Doxycycline 50 mg capsule that I had on hand. I got some relief with that. Too much pain for this procedure.Diagnosed with RA in 2012

If you haven’t mentioned it to the doc who did the IV, it might be a good idea to do so. In other words, it might be an isolated event, separate from the chills you experienced, or connected. It can be hard to decipher what causes what with some therapies – side-effects or true herxing. Let us know what you discover, Niteowl!
Btw, the gent who said his friend didn’t get any benefit from UVBI said he talked with one or two lupus patients who had good success with it. So, it’s probably a by-person/disease kind of thing.

You mentioned ozone in the subject line. Did your treatment involve ozone or just UV light?

Looking at the charges, it’s showing an UBI with Heparin. Although the assistant kept saying ozone. But after reading the difference between the two treatments. It looks as though I had an UBI with Heparin as indicated on the charge.
I have another question; The day after I use our Jacuzzi(Dr Wellness) I also get increasingly sore – as in difficulty standing sitting or using shoulders and upper arms (starting to empathize with T Rex’s).Diagnosed with RA in 2012

Still having to take Norcor every 6 hours in order to stand up or sit down without feeling like I’ll faint from the intense pain. This feels like it might be straying from the AP regimine, idk.

Don’t notice any effect on my early stage SD yet. Yes it’s only been two treatments and maybe it would take a lot to make a difference. But they are expensive and it’s unpleasant.Autoimmune: ANA positive speckled. Probable MCTD with SD overlap. Hashimoto's. Possible Erlos Danlos. Mold Illness.
Infections: Bartonella, toxoplasmosis, mycoplasma, EBV
Meds: minocycline (Zydus generic) 100mg 1x daily,
Supps: digestive enzymes, Monolaurin, Betaine hydrochloric acid, iron, quercetin, biocidinAugust 18, 2017 at 10:33 am #460471richieParticipantHi I really dont see a cohesive approach –lots of otc supplements and pain killers –an anti fungal for 10 days —-Antibiotics have been stopped for whatever reason -even when taking it a very minimal dose –obviously you are having difficulty but I have to say the road you and your doctor is on is ineffective –time to reassess the entire picture -IMO

One woman told me in an e-mail that the doctor who was pushing her to do ozone treatments reminded her of a used car salesman.

I think Maz was right about drug induced Lupus and this so called treatment was the final straw. I even had pitting edema in my feet. I am now on Methylprednisolone as a gap to my AP protocol. I don’t have a reliable AP Dr in this state as we are down to the one that was pushing the UVBI garbage.
I am now on Methylprednisolone as a gap to my AP protocol. I had my Primary Start me on with the dose pack and now I am taking 12mg a day. I can’t believe how far down the rabbit hole I had gone! Taking a break from AB for now.Diagnosed with RA in 2012

If he accepted insurance, I’m pretty confident he would be closed down. In fact after I’m considering reporting his practice. There are alot of unsuspecting patients of his. He pushes many “treatments, all cash up front in the hundreds of dollars each. I really don’t believe in UVBI therapy at all, now. It was used in the past before vaccines for some nasty diseases, but it doesn’t sound like it really does anything.
