did you use a blood test to confirm Cpn? or are you using this combo based on signs and symptoms only. I know on their site, they favour use without serological evidence because it can be difficult to find at times. I just wondered as hubby and I were discussing the benefits of getting the blood test as my doctor continues to wait until i get worse before diagnosing and i’m thinking of getting the blood work done for Cpn and mycoplasma (though i’m unsure where to go about doing it)so i can have a ‘reason’ for using antibiotics.
Yea Jasregadoo it is paleo….i’m exploring some other options. Not sure the vegan thing is fully helping at all. I will remain dair and gluten free but just trying to decide if taking away more grains or adding back in some animal protein woud be beneficial.
Misty, I too have been looking into LDN but am unsure if it will help or if my Dr. will agree to it. How are you doing on it? How long does it usually take to know if it is working? I think patients can take both LDN and Mino at the same time. Hoping you find relief!thanks PhilC, i’m still hoping for the mino but we’ll see. at this point i’ll take what he’ll give me!
And if the mold has been cleaned up, then what? I only ask because I think mold has been what triggered all my symptoms. It has been cleaned up but my symptoms are still here…..not sure where to go from this point
also if you email this forum and ask for docs in your area that DO believe in antibiotics for arthritis, you may find the road much easier. they will send you a list
will your doc continue to prescribe flagyl? if so, why would you stop if it’s working? you could take flagyl with doxy and they work together…lots of protocols use both.
could you maybe send me a lits of those doctors, scattered or not. Even if I could see them for a diagnosis I think it would be much easier to get local treatment.
thanks Maz, it is a little different here in Canada (as I’m sure you remember) because getting a doctor to do those non standard blood tests isn’t easy and there isn’t always a nearby lab that will do them either not to mention finding a requisition form. What of viral load…..since you are a wealth of info can I pick your brain for that one ;)? obviously antibiotics are useless in that situation. What then?
