I posted a few weeks ago about my husband’s extreme fatigue. It never really resolved itself and he seemed to
be getting weaker as time went on. Then I brought a cold home which he caught and it landed him in the hospital with sepsis! The protocol for sepsis is vancomycin and zosin. After 5 days in the hospital and two rounds of zosin and 4 rounds of vancomycin he was discharged. What i noticed immediately was that his hands looked different, more wrinkly. He still felt like death warmed over but day by day he is improving. Still has issues with PAH and fluid retention but I am thinking all of the IV abx kickstarted him into maybe turning this thing around. He has done the clindamycin IV’s in the past which did nothing but I think I am seeing some positive changes now. Have either of these two antibiotics been used for rheumatic diseases before? He is currently taking 100 mg mino morning and night as well as Azithromycin 250 mg twice a day.
