    Interesting article, especially as the virus in question is the common CMV virus.

    Ruth, thanks for sharing this article…seem to be so many connections being made to cancers and viruses, bacteria and fungi. Brings to mind the recent research out of Canada re: acute myeloid leukemia (AML), lymphomas and ribavirin, an old anti-viral, that was being found to put some of these patients into remission. Kind of interesting that the same pathways that block viruses also block cancers. Unfortunately, seems that relapse rate is common as resistance is built over time, but good results are being achieved with combo therapies.

    Ruth,

    That is a really interesting article. It is so over-my-head the way our bodies work. I think that they will discover more and more that so many illnesses are rooted in viruses, bacteria and parasites. In this case, suppressing the replication of CMV is an avenue to control cancer growth – amazing!
