new bulletin board and e-mails

I'm puzzled that I'm receiving e-mails advising me of new posts. Is there a way to NOT get these ?

I prefer to check the board without this prompting, though I'm having trouble navigating it- not much of a techie! But I'll keep trying. I do appreciate the time, expertise and effort put into this new format.

If you click on the “My Account” tab at the top of your screen, then select “Preferences” you will see a box that is checked under the heading Miscellaneous, uncheck the box that says “always send an email” that should stop the emails.
