….but never expected it to be this:
“Inducible expression of transgenic human TNF? in adult mice develops psoriatic-like arthritis”

June 30, 2013 at 1:26 pm #368607SuzanneParticipantHere are some recent abstracts from pubmed (for humans):
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23760549
“CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE Doxycycline is a relatively nontoxic and well-tolerated oral agent and should be considered as a therapeutic option in primary cutaneous CD4+ small- to medium-sized pleomorphic T-cell lymphoma, especially in cases with a high percentage of B lymphocytes and no signs of systemic disease.”

“Based on these results, antibiotic therapy using doxycycline appears to be a reasonable first line therapy for patients with MALT lymphoma of the ocular adnexa.”

Hi Suzanne,
m I’m Italian and I dont speak English well.
I’ve psoriatic arthritis e I’m worried to read this article on Pubmed.
I’m on tetracycline from 11 DAILY not doxy 😕
June 30, 2013 at 2:51 pm #368609SuzanneParticipantHi Flower,
I wouldn’t worry, because for one thing you already have arthritis. Maybe you should worry if you were free of arthritis and were prescribed doxycycline for another reason. Second, the drug has been used to treat arthritis for many years.
Enbrel is used to treat psoriasis but can also cause psoriasis. There is a lot of mystery to these diseases and the drugs used to treat them.

how’s your daughter with Zithromax?
have you ever tried it with minocycline?
Best Regards
June 30, 2013 at 4:21 pm #368611SuzanneParticipantMy daughter is still doing fine with Zithromax. It is by far the best drug we have ever used for her arthritis. We haven’t been able to try minocycline or doxycycline yet due to her age, but I hope someone will prescribe it for her when they think she is old enough.
