New FDA warning regarding Rituxan after “a JC virus infection with resultant PML and death 18 months after taking the last dose of Rituxan.”

My local rheumy wanted to put me on this drug early this Feb. I did a quick research realizing it could also cause brain damage or death. I refused to use it. Later, I talked to a professor of rheumatology in GT university, she said she was surprised to hear my rheumy still uses this drug. She said 10 years ago, rheumatologists used this drug a lot and these days, new study found this is not a safe drug.

So scary.
