Effect of Minocin on teeth

i forgot about this. I just remembered last night that I did get one side effect from
minocin over long term use. it was something to do with the teeth. i think i got a lot
more plaque build up. back then, it was difficult taking care of teeth because i was
so weakened and in survival mode. i see people mention yellowing teeth. that could have
been but not sure.

i wonder if vitamin K2 and D3 could offset that. I think high levels of vitamin K are found
in the salivary gland. it would explain how people can get salivary stones and how they can be
prevented. i will be trying to remove the buildup of calcium (decalcify) for the next six months
to see what that does for my health.

I wonder of using hydrogen peroxide can prevent the yellowing.

other than two back teeth and a wisdom tooth pulled, my teeth are in relatively
good health even after not seeing a dentist for nearly 15 years when i had the
mercury removed. they couldn’t even find hardly any periodontal problems and
i am close to 60. i just need one cap to replace a cap which i will do in a couple
months. i brush my teeth with 1% hydrogen peroxide and occasional baking soda
for past 6 years before bed.

as one grows old, healthy teeth are not enough. the gums start deteriorating
and eventually the teeth fall out. my gums were feeling very weakened some years back
and i was frantically searching for a solution. i tried some things but they failed. i did stumble upon one.

as i was using the Biocell formula (Hyaluronic Acid + Collagen) (i discussed this under the osteoarthritis
topic) for osteoarthritis, i found that it regenerated my gums. the gums felt much stronger. it took a
couple months.

for someone dealing with gum issues especially people over 50, you may want to consider trying Biocell
formula for a couple months to see if it helps. please let other people know about this as a possible option.

I have good teeth and have always had regular dental checks. Since starting this AP, I noticed a rapid discolouration of my teeth. They went very yellowy. Three weeks ago I was at the dentist for a regular check up and was advised that many brands of mouth wash cause teeth to yellow. I did use mouth wash frequently after starting AP and would just buy the cheapest one at the supermarket. Maybe it interacted with the AP to cause the teeth to go yellow?? Apparently the yellowing can be caused by CHLORHEXIDINE which is in many mouthwashes, according to my dentist that is.

The dentist sold me what he says is a new product to halt and/or reverse yellowing of teeth. It’s called CURASEPT. I bought the toothpaste as well as the mouthwash to try it out. There has been a definite change of colour as a result of using it daily. The yellowing is far less so I am hopeful this is the answer. I’ve tried baking soda etc and none of that worked for me.

I have no connection to the company that makes Curasept. It’s not cheap but I thought it was worth a try. So far its helped me.

What percentage of the active ingredient CHLORHEXIDINE is in Curasoft.

I see that – Curaprox Curasept Mouthwash is for short term intensive use and contains 0.20% chlorhexidine – from a UK site

Is that correct ?

I see Chlorhexidine Solution gallon on Amazon which is at 2%

i had a thought the other day. using 1% to 3% hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash should be able to do the job also. it should be able to kill all the microbes that CHLORHEXIDINE kills and even more. just something to think about.
