Chrysalis – I notice in your latest Personal History post a very interesting comment:

Appointment with specialist and he said the Mayo clinic is using AP successfully so is sending me a private script for Minocin

If you – or anyone else- have any further information on this, that would be very interesting. Mayo Clinic’s website has minocycline listed as one of the DMARDS. If they are doing anything more in terms of AP, they havent published this on the site. Extract below. Lynnie

?Disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs). These drugs can slow the progression of rheumatoid arthritis and save the joints and other tissues from permanent damage. Common DMARDs include methotrexate (Rheumatrex, Trexall), leflunomide (Arava), hydroxychloroquine (Plaquenil), sulfasalazine (Azulfidine) and minocycline (Dynacin, Minocin). Side effects vary but may include liver damage, bone marrow suppression and severe lung infections.

I know someone who failed Remicade and her rheumatologist sent her to the Mayo Clinic where she was successfully treated with AP. This was over 2 years ago.
