We all know that the immune system is crucial to our health. It destroys many pathogens like bacteria, even parasites and cancer cells. If it doesn’t work well it doesn’t protect us against inflammatory diseases. It involves many parts of our body like spleen, lymph nodes, thymus, bone marrow, skin and other.
We also say that we are what we eat. I didn’t know that the immune system cells are located also in our body fat.
Body fat modulates the action of the immune system and nervous system with the help of the inflammatory triggers.
We are told to eat lean meat and to drink fat-free or low-fat milk, also milk products. Most of the websites say that if you want to strengthen your immune system, you must eat fat-free products.
I am a slim person. I must wear cushioned socks because otherwise my heels are sore. I feel cold when others don’t feel it.
I’ve started to analyse my friends. Some of them, who I can say have a visible body fat, complain for joints pain, most often knees, but their blood test doesn’t show any rheumatoid factor. Zero. In their case it is probably wear and tear process or mistakes in adoption of our civilisation’s achievements/like entering and leaving a car or a wrong position at the desk/
What I want to say here is that maybe people like me should have much more fat in the diet.

    vitamins and minerals.

Our fat tissue also participates in detoxification of our organism. It accumulates toxins until they are processed. If detoxification is impossible the fat tissues will store it forever.
