I just received an email newsletter from Hopkinton Drug, a mail order compounding pharmacy in MA, stating that they are offering liposomal formulations for various antibiotics. To view their list of medications in liposomal form, click here:

It’s just a hunch, but for anyone challenged with finding a generic that works or capsule fillers/dyes are a problem, a compounded liposomal formulation may be a worthy alternative to discuss with your prescriber. Currently, the cost listed for liposomal minocycline is nearly $400 for 120 x 100mg capsules.
