    Hi everyone. I posted a couple of times on the old board regarding my mother that has sclero. i have been doing a lot of research on AP and i think that it would be great for her. We live about 20 mins from Dr F in riverside and i really want her to go see him. The problem is that it is hard for me to explain to her what AP is because her english is limited.

    I have looked for matieral in spanish for her to read, but cannot find anything.

    Does anyone on this board know of anything she can read in spanish or does anyone here speak spanish? I think that if i find something she would feel more comfortable trying this treatment

    Celia,

    We had our first appointment last Tuesday with Dr. F.  I was very impressed by his comprehensive exam.  Although my daughter is quite improved from systemic scleroderma using AP alone, he found some problems that were not previously detected.

    One thought is, call Dr. F's office and see if they have a Spanish speaking staff person who could explain it to her.  Boy I wish I could still remember any of my 6 years of Spanish class.

    If you would like to talk to someone directly and then translate for your mother, I would be happy to speak with you.

    Hi Celia;
         If you go to the other board   http://www.rheumatic.org   all the information is translated into many languages.I know they have Portugese so I expect they have Spanish also.It has been a long time since I read their info so I am not up to date.  Lynne G./SD

    Celia,

    There are some things in Spanish on http://www.rheumatic.org web site.  I clicked on Information for You and Your Doctor (a link on the home page), and found a good bit in Spanish.  If you will click on this link, you can check it out.

    Also, I was helping supply information to a Spanish-speaking health fair several years ago.  I just remembered this.  I copied and pasted some information into a free translations site on the Internet, and it converted the article into Spanish after I copied and pasted it into the window.

    If you will do a search for a free translation site, you probably will be able to do this, too.  Be aware though, there is a limit as to how much the site will translate free, so advise you to choose your information carefully.

    Good luck with your Mom's treatment.  You might also try calling Dr. F's office, as they may have some treatment therapy Spanish translations in their office.
