Lyme disease has been in the news here in the UK recently. John Caudwell , billionaire founder of a mobile phone company, has been diagnosed with Lyme, along with four other family members. He is now calling on the government for more research into the disease.

At least there is recognition of Lyme Disease in the UK. The Australian medical establishment still denies that it even exists in Australia. What this new research is starting to show is that there are differences in the DNA of all the species of Australian ticks and that a ‘home grown’ bacterium is likely making people sick………makes sense of what Lyme docs are now calling it, which is mixed systemic infectious diseases syndrome (MSIDS) and that newer name may just help to open up the very narrow thinking about this whole subject.

And of course, they haven’t moved onto investigation of other vectors that are in the picture. It’s a long, long road…
